Things That I Am GRATEFUL Today

It has been awhile since I last wrote. Basically I have no excuse except to admit that I was lazy to write. Also bcoz I didn't know what to write...

There are so many new things that are happening. Not sure whether there is any good in it but heck what do they say about opportunities? Well as far as I am concerned, opportunities are there everyday in your life. It is just a matter where and how do you look. Okies now that apologies are all said... now I have a sudden surge of information...

I am grateful that:
  1. Despite my sudden bout of stinginess although it has been awhile since 4-5 years ago.. I brought a friend out for lunch. This has been pending for a while but it felt good that I managed to spend for her and felt good about it.
  2. I see now there are some direction back again in my project however short lived it maybe, but it is good to know that karma pays.
  3. Am happy that someone is at my mercy of spending more agonizing days for him although deep down I know we will pick the option that he was looking at the 1st place.
  4. Am happy that God was just and helped me out in feeling good about myself that everyone makes mistakes and it is not just me :-)
  5. I am glad that it takes every bit of minute to appreciate the good things in life... again only when you let yourself see the many things that are joyous in life.
  6. I am sore that I had to pay cab for 2 days in a row but am glad that I stayed back at work to finish up some work.
  7. I glad that I managed to finish updating the status of my project today.
  8. I am glad that another individual thinks that I have helped in getting the project going on..
  9. I am glad that the seeds that I have sowed are sprouting now... and that people recognise my contribution.
  10. I am glad that everyday I learn new things.
  11. Oh and I glad that got a good deal from clinique.
  12. I am glad for the good food that I have eaten since last week :-) costly but good.
  13. I am glad that mommy dearest is my guide in shining armor though I haven't never told her this. Luckily mom knows, that she is always and will be my staunchest energizer bunny.
  14. I am glad that I opted for laziness and blogged this.
  15. I am ost gkad that I managed to do a 10 minutes exercise and walked up and down the stairs. Although I wasn't supposed to stop until the commercial stopped, I managed to appease the restless soul in me by doing different exercise.
  16. Finally, I am glad that I worked out the room that I booked and got this finally. Thanks!

Goal 3: Be Healthy

Yikes. I have to confess, that I have not being doing anything much regarding this. From eating vegetables to taking time to exercise... I didn't managed to plan any of these into my daily routine. Even though I did remember that I had to exercise, I didn't have much time for this. Talk about procrastination. I am lapsing back to my earlier status of making this later to do something. This in turn creates procrastination and I am responsible for my actions.

I could of course give a stupid excuse and tell you that I have been experiencing pain in my knees. However then, I would be lying if I didn't tell that in the back of my head, I knew I could skip the lunges and instead do some simple yoga...

I guess... it is just a matter of time to ingrain things into my head and take this as a stepping stone to do something better each day. So I affirm to remember that being healthy is just a matter of doing small little things in each day to be healthy and take advantage of any free time to walk up and down the stairs, or stretch a bit here and there and jump around :-)

Affirming is not just about saying, it is about knowing, it is a bout feeling and wanting to do something you just told yourself to do.

Things That I Am GRATEFUL TODAY

Today has been some episodes where I think I should have dealt better and not let my nerves get to me. Nevertheless although it seemed to be a cyclic pattern where I jump from the seat every time my big boss emails me and I react in a crazy nervous manner, there were some goodness that was derived from here.

Thus these are the things that I am happy about:

  1. Yes, there is a rainbow at every juncture... you just need to look not further from yourself to see this and the rainbow will appear.
  2. I had a terrible headache today and a good friend of mine, went all out 2 get me 2 panadols. Pain subsided after a while.
  3. The same good friend mentioned in the row above lend an ear to my frustrations and dilemma and counseled me some good points.
  4. My good boss said he will always back me up. He is like my champion and my wise mentor at work.
  5. Saying this at point 4, maybe I really did get my wish in having a mentor for once in my life. I guess maybe I did have mentors in my life... they just did some short visits.
  6. Unfortunately I had to take the cab today but I managed to get equal amount of rest in the train and even managed to read up the Risk Management topic.
  7. I realize that my weakness in nerves and quick reflex may hinder my progress in my quest for a better career path and thus as I relax more I would realize what to do.
  8. I wanted to do some pre-reading before class so that I could remember easily in case I daydreamed in class. Imagine my happiness, that most of the things I read in the train today, were covered in today's class topics.
  9. I managed to come back alive today after the bad headache.
  10. I am happy that I managed to work on some PMP questions despite having a shock at the later end of the day.
  11. I am happy that the more I attempted questions, the more that I learn.
  12. I am happy that I had an ex boyfriend who gave me so much confidence that I should never doubt myself and take life at work to just be work based and not personal.
  13. I am glad that even life did not turned out the way we wanted and my ex and I parted both ways, the little and many things that I learned from him, helped me to grow :-)

Goal 4 : EXERCISE + BE HEALTHY

I just read the fascinating stories about women who were down and out and managed to jump start and take charge of their health. These women were either obese, elderly or stricken with sickness. What was even more amazing was a 91 year-old who is still going strong in yoga and professional dancing which she actively took when she was 85 years old!

And here am I making one resolution after the other of taking care of my health and weight and then doing nothing about it. And there are all these women who made 1 time life strategic decision in doing something about their health and life. One lady even said that she never stops challenging herself.

I am sorry but what the hell??????? is wrong with me then. So OK. here am I.... I am doing it. I am not saying it anymore. I am doing it. I am living it. I am breathing it. To health, the cup of life, I salute you, I will obey you, I will get my butt moving each day and exercise starting from now on.

Horses are immensely likeable people. They’re great team players and sensitive to other people’s needs. At meetings they tend to stay in the background, because they don’t want to draw attention to themselves. When it comes to presenting they can be self-conscious and worry about what others think of them.

Lions like to get things done. They’re driven, single-minded and always in motion. If they see a need to flex their style or learn new skills they won’t hesitate. Most, but not all Lions, also think they are right about everything. As a result they don’t always listen to other people because they ‘know’ the answer already.

Goal 3: PMP

Goal 3: Yes. I plan to take the PMP certification
Why. Coz I am a genius and I have wisdom. Also I want to seal my future as a Project Manager. I now know what I want in life..now. I will take this certification up. Anyway why not for challenges in 2010? There are so much to learn this year and years ahead :-)

To err is human. To knowledge as a cup of life.

Affirming on Goal 2: In Keeping A Happy Face

OK. I thought that it was easy for me to think about good things that has happened to me each day. Boy it is hard coz I just got into an argument with a family member. Maybe we are all emotional but I do not like people who do not keep harping on small things over and over again as though it is their effort that matters only.

Anyways enough of that.

For all the Things I AM Grateful TODAY
  1. I managed to get into the train in a nick of a second.
  2. Thankfully the good conductor master that I like was there at the time.
  3. I had a good chat with the other PM. I see progress in that.
  4. I managed to close a defect.
  5. I made sure that the vendor was taken cared of
  6. I sent the report without making such a hue and cry that my opinion was not asked for a review even though I am the PM for that project.
  7. I didn't take one cab at all today. Yeah to saving money.

Goals 2: Keep A Happy Face

Goal is to determine that each day will be a happy day. How? By looking at the POSITIVE SIDE of things and people! I endeavor, I proclaim that I will start my day with good thoughts and go end the day with good thoughts. If at all bad thoughts come in the way, I will tell myself that ALL THESE ARE MOMENTARILY, IT WILL GO AWAY. Even when it (the issue/concern/problem) does not seem to want to go away.... I will not even bother to think further about it. Instead.. in my mind, that issue or problem or concern is ALREADY RESOLVED!

So there!

SECRET GOALS

What is it about goals that gurus are trying to fast pin on anyone? Yes Sayers claims "Without goals, you won't have direction, you would not know what you will be doing, you will be distracted, you won't achieve etc... and the list goes on and on...

Well... Ok... I got a secret to say. I have goals on the secret... Goals that I do not want to say out loud. Why? Caused then it won't be a secret, if I said it out loud. Now, you may ask - why should goals be a secret. Well it can be if we didn't want people to know if we have failed!

See this is a silly thought. Why should one think they will fail? Well think of it that someone keeps they goals as a secret not on the basis that they will fail but more on a basis that they do not need to maintain to complete the goal. So... there you go... why people keeps their goals a secret. It is not because they are dumb, they have no direction, they do not have the confidence or because they are shallow... it is more because they are lazy to keep it up. And why may you ask ... are they lazy, well.. think of all the progress and questions that they will be asked every now and then. How crazy is that? Does anyone like to be asked every now and then?

Well I have goals.. and I am declaring it out loud now. No more fearing. No more caring. What is the worse thing that could happen? Let's no go with the flow anymore. Let's just aim for the highest and keep moving from there.

Changes

Hi. Ok. So today I am writing a lot. Well for starters.. I have been meaning to write all this while. In fact I was so highly enthusiastic last weekend... I just couldn't wait to finish what I was reading and start blogging. However as what great gurus would say...whatever that you put up to the later, will not happen so why can't you just shut-up and do it now (well this is what I always tell myself anyways).

So here am I, late? well in the evening decided to spill the beans (read confess) what has been bothering me all this while. I gather that after all the years of not wanting to change myself... I really did it. I allowed myself to be changed to what people always told me. In short, instead of maintaining the goodhearted person that I was, I became this sickening "all about me" person. I became selfish... I put myself above everyone and just went on being like that. I will confess that even when I thought nice things of people, I told myself there is no need to make a big show of it else they will feel a need to grow a larger head than what they have right now.  I put myself first!

If you think that putting oneself first isn't a sin then let it be known that in different circumstances it can be viewed as THOUGHTLESS.

Books I am Reading Now

I have always been the one could not read just 1 book at one time. I am so restless. Hence don't be amazed at this list:

  1. The Secret - Rhonda Byrne
  2. World's Best Kept Beauty Secrets What Really Works In Beauty, Diet & Fashion - Diane Irons
  3. Eat That Frog - Stop Procrastination - Brian Tracy

  1. Awaken The Giant Within - Anthony Robbins
  2. Letters from A Friend - Anthony Robbins

Here's the list of books that I have read as so far since Mar 30, 2010

  1. Jonathan Livingston Seagull - Richard Bach
  2. Law of Attraction - Michael J. Losier
  3. By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept -Paulo Coelho
  4. Veronika decides to die - Paulo Coelho
  5. Who Moved My Cheese-Dr Spencer Johnson
  6. Apple Cider Vinegar Miracle Health System - Patricia Bragg
  7. The-Success-Principles - Jack Canfield
  8. The Ten Career Commandments - Rob Yeung

Goal 1 : Reading 20 Books by June 2010

I am excited. I didnt know that I could have the time to read books. What with the crazy work hours and the travelling time that I lose each week. It is astonishing that I could managed to cram in some time albeit losing some sleep in the progress but also increasing the level of happinness in that I accomplished something!!
Oh how great the feeling is to accomplish something of not just small minor depth or breadth but something much larger. This goes to establish a fact that I can do so many things more if I put my mind to it :-) How great is the feeling is to accomplish something!!
It is just pure bliss!
