Doing something different for 30 days = doing something different in my life. Rather than saying that I am bogged down with work and complexity that I cannot have a life. I realized that I COULD HAVE A LIFE!
Thus I couldn't resist jumping at this suggestion/advice/challenge ... whatever you want to call it. How could I not! It sounded do-able :-)
So these are things that I DID (grin) :
- I started blogging again.
- I carried my broadband to work everyday so that in the event that I became bored whilst traveling on the train or bus, I could catch up with some emails or work to do.
- I started reading again.
- I started counting the number of books and these increased my motivation to read more.
- I started to utilize MSN messenger to get in touch with my friends. Well... even though I just asked from 1 friend- it is a start.
- I started becoming competitive at my PMP training. I now read more.
- I started printing out PMP questions that I could do and work on whilst I was on the train or bus.
- I started caring for myself and went on a shopping spree. I no longer blame myself for ruining my shoes with my supposedly heavy weight and taking long walks. Instead I invested in buying a flat slipper to do this and in turn saved my feet from hurting too much.
- I started caring for my feet. I massage them more and even give them plenty of attention when I bathe.
- I no longer blame myself when I miss the bus and have to take a cab instead.
- I have set my mind that I can do anything and this is working.
- I make myself to write down.. things that I am grateful each day. This has in turn allowed me to look at the positive side of life i.e opportunities are always there at every corner.
